Step 02
Your coordinator confirms the carrier assignment, reviews special handling requirements for fragile or high-value items, and sends you a pre-move checklist tailored to your home size and contents.
Step 03
Your carrier arrives at your home with the right truck size and equipment. Furniture is padded and wrapped. Boxes are organized by room. You do a walkthrough before the truck doors close and sign the bill of lading.
Step 04
At your new home, the carrier unloads and places furniture in the rooms you designate. You check every item against the inventory, note any concerns, and sign off. Your coordinator follows up to make sure you’re settled.

Both options are available. You can pack everything yourself to save money, or we can arrange full or partial packing services through your carrier. Full packing means the carrier brings all materials and packs every item. Partial packing covers just fragile or specialty items. Your coordinator will price both options for you.
Most interstate carriers cannot transport live plants because agricultural regulations vary by state. Some states (like California and Arizona) have strict agricultural inspection requirements at their borders. We recommend transporting plants in your personal vehicle or shipping them via a specialized plant shipping service.
Experienced residential carriers deal with these challenges daily. They disassemble furniture that won’t fit through doorways, use furniture dollies and stair-climbing equipment, and employ hoisting for oversized items when necessary. If your home has unusual access challenges, let your coordinator know during the estimate so we assign a carrier prepared for it.
Professional movers work in rain. They use plastic wrap and waterproof covers to protect furniture and boxes during loading and unloading. Hardwood floors are protected with floor runners. The only weather condition that might delay a move is extreme conditions like ice storms or hurricanes — and your coordinator will reschedule proactively if safety is a concern.
